Midweek long run
24/11/04
Set out for my midweek long run as the sun was rising. It was a quite a pleasant morning with a nice breeze blowing in from the south.
Started out nice and pleasantly and settled into a nice relaxed pace and maintained this throughout the first half heading north. However, when I hit the turnaround point just before 7km to head back south to home, noticed that breeze was actually quite strong when you had to run into it. So, had to work a fraction harder to maintain 5 min/km pace than I probably should have been on a long run. However, this kept me interested and gave me something to focus on as I felt my concentration wandering.
Finished 16km in a couple of seconds under 80 minutes so the pace was right on. The run has really given me a good start to the day and left me feeling good.
