8X1 minute intervals

It had been 5 weeks since I last did this session and it felt a tad easier than I remember it - but still hard.
After a 15 minute warmup, ran at 80% pace for a minute then rested for 45 seconds. Then repeat 7 more times. I am finding that I am coping better with these lung busting sessions, meaning I'm not coughing my guts up at the end. Got the HR up to what it usually is towards the end of a 10km race, so objective met there. Then warmed down with a 15 minute run back home. An interesting observation was that by the end of the warmdown, my HR had dropped 20 beats a minute. This means my body is getting over these intense efforts more quickly, so fitness is definitely improving.
