Midweek Long Run
1/12/04
Well it was that time of the week again. The time to just get out there and keep the legs rolling over consistently for 80 minutes.
Was able to do it quite well this morning considering that it was quite warm and humid. Wasn't helped by the fact that I didn't sleep very well because of heat and humidity last night.
The good thing was that I got out at 5.30am before it is going to get really hot. Settled into comfortable 5 min/km pace and rolled along quite well.
That was until around 10km mark. I had a huge sneezing fit and just couldn't stop. It was quite funny and I wasn't distressed. I have suffered from Hayfever and Sinusitis for years but have never had a sneezing fit in the middle of a run. Another first!
Continued to roll along quite well and finished strongly in a tick over 78:30 with an average heart rate of 140. I feel as though I am starting to feel stronger on these longer runs and can feel the fitness levels increasing.
Looking forward to a 10 Minute Surge and Hills session tomorrow.
