3x2km intervals
18/2/05
For those readers who want Belinda to have her own blog, sorry to disappoint you but she says she is not ready to blog yet and is happy for me to include her running exploits here as we are doing these runs together. However, stay tuned because I have it on good authority that when it is launched, it will be titled Belinda's Brilliant Blog.
Back to the running side of the blog, we did 3x2km intervals with 2 minutes rest between each one. Based on her recent form, I set the target of doing each 2km rep in 11 minutes. But as usual I underestimated her. We ran the first in 10:45, followed by a 10:49 and the last in a blistering 10:41. There is no stopping her at the moment.
I have to keep the reigns on her tomorrow when doing our 7.5km recovery run as she needs to stay fresh to run under 2:30 on Sunday.
Yes Eddie you are right, I am extremely proud of her. To see somebody who had never run more than 10km less than a year ago run the distances she is doing now at the intensity she does is just so inspirational.
I am very much looking forward to running at Canberra with her 10 days after our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Funny how something like my collapse can make something like this happen. Maybe it was fate!

Hope you both had a great run at SMC, though I read Belinda had some ankle problems? Nothing too serious I hope.
Horrie and Belinda it sounds like you guys are just so happy running together. Keep it up.
Allan is now running the 10km with me at Canberra so he can feel like one of the runners and not just be a spectator. It is so nice to share important interests with your mate isn't it!
