Midweek long run and 30/30s

2/2/05

Headed out to the bay with Belinda to run with the MTG. As we got held up in traffic, we decided to try and take a short cut but were still late. We parked at Lilyfield Rd and started the run in reverse, realising that they would be around soon. We'd gone about 500m when we met up with them and joined them for 2 laps of the bay. We ended up running 15km in just over 87 minutes. Very humid in the beginning as it was just after a thunderstorm but a nice breeze by the time we ended.

I also managed to duck out for a lunchtime swim which was again very enjoyable and relaxing.

Another 15 minutes of pleasure and pain with a set of 30/30s. After a 3km warmup, went into the session feeling good. Was pleasantly surprised that this feeling lasted all the way through the session. As I usually am starting to count come 12 but just really concentrated on holding form and staying strong for the whole 15 today. Finished off with a 3km warmdown for a very quick and enjoyable workout.

Comments:
Great to see you are back Horrie. Nothing like a little setback on Sunday to push you harder. Hope the run tomorrow is a fast one. Looks good for a cool morning at the moment. Sub 41 at Lane Cove maybe?
