Midweek long run
16/2/05
An early rise saw Belinda and I head out for 14km while it was still dark as she had to be at work early. I'm glad we ran it early as the humidity was very high and I didn't need any heat added as well. Ran with a new drink today, the Endura Electrolyte drink which has magnesium in it. Seemed to make a difference as I was feeling quite alert and energetic throughout the run. We ran this run about 6 minutes quicker than last week as with the energy levels returning to normal, I was able to push Belinda out of her comfort zone to finish very strongly.

Horrie, that Endura stuff is good gear! Gee take it easy on poor Belinda, was that a 6 minute faster time??
Don't worry about poor Belinda. She loved it so much she was saying at the end that she would have liked to have done it a bit quicker. She's also asking about when we're next doing intervals. I have to keep reminding her that she can run as fast as she likes on Sunday.
I've only ever taken water on training runs. i might give Endura a go and see whether it makes a difference.
Sounds like Belinda's prep for Canberra is going really well.
