Short Midweek Long Run - last run before 6 Foot Track
9/3/05
I decided to run 14km today over hilly terrain during lunchtime as my last run before 6 Foot Track. Was unsure of what run I should do but decided to make it a semi tough run as I am going to have the rare luxury of 2 days off.
It was tougher than I expected as I am jumping out of my skin and knew that I just had to finish the run. As the run took a bit over 69 minutes, it was a long time to hold back. So in hindsight, it would have been a better idea to have cut it short.
So tomorrow I will lay low and start the carbo load to try and store as much energy as possible before driving up to Katoomba on Friday.
Whilst in Katoomba, we'll take advantage of the trip and take Tim to all the sights as we haven't been up there in a while. We'll have dinner in one of the restaurants there so I can pig out on pasta, go and pick up the race kit and listen to Dan Green's talk before heading back to the hotel for some sleep.
Then to be ready for Saturday morning to start off hunting Plu, then to go to Pluvio and beyond and then to the finish at Caves House.

Go! Go! Hunt Plu down, Horrie! Enjoy & take care on Saturday; very much looking forward to your account of the day. Say "Hi" to Belinda. LL
Best of luck, Horrie. It's been a different route to the race, but the metrogaine seems to show that you are prepared; now you just have to go out there and smash the course!
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say hello to you today but I will be sure to introduce myself at the CR drinks in 6 sleeps! Congratulations on your fantastic result today. You must feel very confident looking forward to Canberra. Congratulations again.
