Fartlek session - 10X1 minute efforts with 1minute jog recovery
31/3/05
Again decided to do a fartlek session as you don't have to worry about finishing a rep in a certain time. Just run and have fun until it becomes too hard and then you just hang on. Ended up running 2.6 km in the 10 minutes of efforts which translated to an average pace of 3:47 per km. This was a bit slower than usual when I do these type of sessions but legs were feeling heavier today and I just couldn't hit that top pace. Not overly concerned about that as I am in the final phase of training for a marathon and not aiming for a fast 10km. I will rest up tomorrow before tackling the Striders 10km on Saturday where I will not be pushing it and will again just run to how I feel on the day.
