22.5km for the weekend - Belinda's biggest in a while

30/4/05

We went on our usual twilight 7.5km run and Belinda was in fine form. In fact, she ran it quicker than she has ever run it before. Since recovering from her injury, she has built a new stretching regime into her routine and this has helped her leg strength. Along with taping her ankles, she is now a more bio-mechanically sound runner. Once she improves her fitness, those PBs of hers are in serious danger.

We went out for our own STaR this morning. We decided to do the Tourist Trot 15km version as this enables us to fit the other essential activities into our day. Again we ran at a decent pace and Belinda only really started to feel the pinch on hills, which is to be expected at this stage of her recovery. She is now well and truly on track to complete the SMH Half in 3 weeks time.

Woo-Hoo!

I'm just starting to get back into the bigger distances, and I know how good it feels!

Way to go, Belinda!
