Midweek Wrap

24/5/05

Tuesday's run was very much a loosener after the SMH Half on Sunday. We ran a steady slow 10.5 km at a nice even pace which helped iron out the kinks. Belinda was happy to have pulled up well after Sunday and was happy to be running again. Stopped off at the newsagency on the way home to get a Herald to look up the results. We were happy to see we beat about 500 people. It helped us deal with the fact that nearly 4000 finished ahead of us.

Wednesday evening saw me head out for a midweek long run of 14km. Felt quite fresh and the niggles seem to have subsided so I was able to build into a nice rhythm. Finished in a bit over 66 minutes with an average HR of 156 for a good hitout.

We headed out on our 10.5km this morning and settled into a nice rhythm. Ran a fair bit quicker than Tuesday and felt great. Belinda is feeling good and is looking forward to running the STaR on Sunday where she will run 22.9km with the MTG.
