Sunday Long Run - Coastal Climb
8/5/05
Family commitments ensured that we again had to do our long run on our own again. This time we ran from Maroubra to Bronte incorporating the coastal walk from Coogee to Bronte before climbing out of Bronte by running up McPherson St which was quite a climb, back along Arden St and Malabar Rd before heading back to Maroubra. Wasn't able to measure the run as the batteries in the GPS died but estimate it to be somewhere between 17 and 18km and we covered the distance in 1:48. This was Belinda's last big hitout before tapering for the SMH in 2 weeks. She handled it very well considering her legs were feeling it after yesterday's race but she again warmed into the run well and felt better at the finish than she did at the start.

Bloody terific all of that training you are giving Belinda. Just be careful that you get ti back when she's faster than you. Enjoy reading the blog cheers, Brendan
That's a really long run, Horrie! I know all of that route so well....McPherson & Arden Streets; we lived in Chesterfield Pde which runs off Arden & is parallel to Mc Pherson. Good on Belinda...she's doing so well; I hope I don't miss seeing her on Sunday week ....& you too, of course!!
