Midweek update
27/6/05
As Belinda could not answer the alarm due to effects of a possible virus, I headed out on our 10.5km loop on my own. As I was running on my own, I went out a bit quicker and just rolled with it. The result was a pleasant surprise of just under 48 minutes for an average pace of 4:33 per km. It was a good workout and I only really felt I was pushing it in the last couple of km's.

Belinda battled the bed and this virus she has picked up to come out and accompany me on another 10.5km loop. As she was not feeling that great, we just rolled along at a nice slow pace. It was just one of those runs where you are feeling good about getting out there and doing it. Belinda was very pleased with herself for not giving into her initial feelings and just rolling over and going back to sleep.

Due to our daughter staying at a friend's place last night, we could not head out together this morning. Belinda headed out on her own for another 10.5km and ran it a lot harder than yesterday. She was happy to be back running well and feeling a lot better than she has for the past couple of days.
As for me, I planned to run with the MTG in the evening. However, after being held back at work longer than I wanted to, I realised that I had got to the Bay too late to run with them. As I couldn't remember what they were doing, I just decided to run 2 laps of the Bay. I finished in just over 69 minutes, averaging right on 5 minute kms according to the GPS for a nice comfortable run.
