A morning for the brave or stupid?
24/6/05
After hearing the wind and the rain thrashing against our bedroom window throughout the night, Belinda decided that a rest day was in order. This meant getting out of bed and into the dark, cold and wet on my own. Lucky I am a big boy now. Headed out to do my 10.8km loop on my own. Managed to do it in a tick under 52:30. I was pleasantly surprised that the weather wasn't as bad as it sounded. It was windy, a bit drizzly throughout but nowhere near as cold as yesterday morning. I always feel better when I challenge myself and run in this weather as it sets me up to enjoy the rest of the day. Looking forward to our long run tomorrow when we will run a variation of the Vaucluse Variation STaR. I have already told Belinda she is running tomorrow even if it is snowing as you can't substitute the benefits of a long run when you are training for a marathon.
