Running with the wolf in the howling wind and rain

Arranged to meet CR Running Wolf aka Lonewolf for a run this morning from Maroubra Beach to Coogee and return. Turned up in shocking conditions as it was dark, blowing a gale and raining. The sand was blowing up from the beach and giving you a sand lashing. Waited around for about 10 minutes for Running Wolf to turn up but I didn't sight him.
Headed off in the direction to Coogee thinking that if he did turn up, I would eventually catch up with him. As it turned out, I did run into him just before Coogee Beach so I turned around with him and headed back to Maroubra with him. We ran at a fairly decent clip and I ended up running a fairly hilly 9.5km in just under 50 minutes at an average pace of 5:08 per km. It was a good quick hitout over a tougher course than I usually run during the week.
