Spring returning to Belinda's step
25/7/05
We ran our 10.5km loop to start the week. As Belinda has been having a few niggles in her lower leg between the ankle and the calf, I talked to her about dropping the Tuesday run to give her body an extra day of recovery. She wouldn't hear about it but did agree to throw in an extra rest day if she was feeling pain whilst running. She was adamant that she wanted to maintain the 70km weeks as she could feel her fitness rising to a new level and I couldn't argue with that. Then she proceeded to run at a nice comfortable cruising pace which I appreciated after giving the legs a bit of a thrashing at Sutherland to Surf the day before.

We ran our 10.8km loop today and Belinda had her best run in a while. We ran slightly quicker than usual and Belinda really opened up her stride over the last 2km and moved up a gear without too much effort. She commented at the end of the run that it is the best she has felt since we have increased the mileage and that she could feel the spring returning to her step.
