Midweek Update

8/8/05

This morning's run did not go well for Belinda. Her lower leg from the ankle to the calf is very tight and was causing her a fair bit of grief. She decided to turn back around after 2km and run back home so she wouldn't cause any more damage. I continued on to finish the 10.5km loop in 53 minutes.

9/8/05

After the false start of the day before, we again set out on our 10.5km loop. Belinda's leg was feeling a bit better so we went out fairly steadily and built the pace up as we went further. Belinda was relieved she was able to finish the run without too much grief.

10/8/05

We decided to do a midweek long run of 14km again. Our reasoning for this is Belinda's leg doesn't bother her once it's warmed up so an extra couple of kms is not going to cause her any more problems. She is still a bit restricted in her stride but was still able to stretch out in parts and finish about 2 minutes slower than last week.

Comments:
You two are an inspiration! Wonderful support and togetherness, it always gladdens my heart! (Bob and I are so happy, I'm a bit of a softy).

Good move to not push it on Monday, especially after the long trial run, and I'm delighted to hear that Wednesday was more successful.

Keep it up.

Wise move Belinda. Some days you just have to fold 'em...

Hope you two have a good run at C2S I'll be the one at the finish yelling instead of running.
