Round and round the 10.5km loop

Ran on my own today as it is Belinda's designated rest day. Ran it in just under 50 minutes for a nice relaxing run.

Ventured out into the cold with Belinda and it was hard to get going. The pain in her lower leg has localised in the achilles area so it seems she is suffering from tendonitis. Even though she is running in discomfort, she was still able to keep up a steady pace. The plan is to run every 2nd day until the Marathon. This includes City 2 Surf and Willy 2 Billy. The important thing is to treat this as the taper period, rest up and treat it as best she can. She has decided once she runs the marathon, she can rest as much as she wants.

Headed out on my own this morning on a very brisk morning. As I was feeling I had to get moving to get warm, settled into a nice rhythm and just let it roll. I then decided to really open the stride up for the last 1.5km and it felt great, finishing it in under 6.5 minutes to finish the run in just under 48 minutes.

Looking forward to the great race tomorrow. Nothing gets the blood pumping more than being amongst 50,000 people doing what you enjoy in life.

I hope it went well Horrie. I can't imagine what it must be like, being with all thaose runners.
