Midweek Update
24/10/05
This morning we headed out for 10 hill reps. Just before we ran the first one, I asked Belinda if she was ready and she responded by blasting out a massive PB for these reps. I challenged her to try and keep the pace consistent for the whole 10. She then managed to pump out the first 9 all within 2 seconds of the first. She started to feel a bit of pain in the hip on the last one and the time blew out by 3 more seconds. Being unhappy with this, Belinda then decided to do one more and this was the same pace as the first. It was a good way to finish a great session.

We headed out on our 10.5km loop with the aim of again running at 6 min/km pace. We managed to do this comfortably, when in the end we were trying to slow the pace down but still ended up running quicker.

This morning was a return to the 6x500m interval session we did last week. Belinda again ran this session well averaging 2:32 per rep which gave us an average pace of 5:05 per km. This was a great improvement on last week's session.
We will have a rest tomorrow with the next goal a 5km hitout on Saturday morning at the Bay before everybody else gets there so we can get the kids off to their sporting commitments.
