Clovelly coastal cruise

6/11/05

As yesterday was behind us, we ventured out on the same run I did on my own last Saturday. A 22km run which took us down to Maroubra, along the coast to Clovelly before the long climb back up to Randwick before heading back home. It was a nice morning, not too warm with a nice breeze to help cool things down. Probably the best conditions we have had in the past week.

Headed out at a steady pace rolling along nicely until we got to Coogee. Then the hills around to Clovelly and the climb back up to Randwick slowed us down. When we eventually got up to Randwick, Belinda commented that it would be nice to feel like a runner again after slugging it uphill for most of the last 4km. We enjoyed the run back home, passing CR Wine trail runner about 3.6km from home. Completed the run in 2:23 for a great way to start the day. Rest day tomorrow.

Comments:
Sounds like a nice run Horrie, Must give it a crack some day.

As for Belinda's 10k on Saturday I reckon it shows guts to finish when you know you are not going to achieve what you set out to do, but still do the best you can on the day - well done!

Horrie/Belinda

Nice to see you both on saturday, tough going in those muggy conditions. Hope to catch up before the next 10ker in Feb.
