32km long run on our own
5/2/06
To save time and to not let the long run take too much of our day away, we decided to do our own H5 long run today. Alarm was set very early and we were on our way at 5.30. A run down to Maroubra Beach before heading up Torrington Rd before heading to Coogee Beach. Once there, we included our 13.3km of hills that run between Coogee and Clovelly we did a couple of weeks ago before heading back the same way we started. It was a good tough hitout for Belinda after her 10km PB yesterday but one she tackled with great gusto. She never flinched and ran every hill without stopping and/or walking. She felt great throughout but I'm sure the DOMS will hit soon. Anyway, she can enjoy a rest after pumping out a tough 32km today on heavy legs.

A good 32 after a 10K yesterday..congrats on the Pb Belinda. Running seems to be a real joy for you both. I am glad everything is going so well.
Another nice one in the bank for Six Foot guys - and well done to Belinda for the PB - very impressive ;-)
Looks like everyone got in some big k's yesterday - including you guys. 32km of undulating hills can't be sneezed at - well done !
Great effort guys! We did the same thing... we heades East and did an modified clovelly canter to save travel time :-)
Fantastic effort after Saturday's race for both of you. And what a fantastic route! How many beaches did you end up traversing again? You may as well have been in Port Macquarie ;)
What a great workout for both of you! You seem to be sooooo ready for 6Ft Track after all those difficult & hilly courses!
Looks like the 6ft training is going well. Congrats on the 10k PB Belinda! Horrie, I hope you're putting in a few 8min kms to remind yourself how hard it is to run that slow.
