Midweek update
18/4/06
Back on the exercise bike for an hour again. It's a good workout that really works the core muscles. Feel the glutes, groin, hip flexors and quads starting to get stronger.

Went out for a 14km midweek long run today. Fairly warm and humid morning for this time of year. I didn't let it bother me too much and got into a fairly good rhythm right from the start. Finished the run in 67:15, which gave me an average of 4:48/km. I managed to keep the HR below 160 for the entire run which meant I wasn't burning too much energy. I will do another speed hitout tomorrow morning as I tune up for the SMC 10km on Sunday.

I could only dream of running for 14ks. Actually it is in some race that ends at Bondi. Name? 4:48 per k seems pretty quick to me for a low HR run. Was it turned on? Kidding. SMC if not humid may be quite quick for you this week. Good luck.
And thanks for all the comments re the races. I may just only do the SMH Half which will be a struggle as it is. And Belinda hope recovery is going well.
