PMC

What an absolutely awesome day.

The Cool Running community was in its finest form today. Thank you so much to everybody who gave up big chunks of their day to come out and offer support out there today. Simply fantastic!

Kevin for organising these events and having aid out on the course, Plu for winning the prize for the Aid Station of the day. Jen for the support you offered me personally over the last 25km when things were not going that great and for providing great company to Tim and Belinda. Uncle Dave and Aunty Karin for providing some great moral support during some of those tough times as well.

Now to the run, congratulations to everybody for having the courage to start an event like this. For those who were unfortunate not to make it to Gosford, you are still true Ultra Runners. To those who did manage to finish, congratulations on a great achievement.

As for my run, I managed to achieve my goal of a sub 12 hour finish in 11:48 and could not have done it without my beautiful wife Belinda and my very patient son Tim.

I am already looking forward to the down run next year.

Comments:
Congrats on a fantastic run Horrie. It just sounds like so much fun.

To think this was my goal race for 2006 :-( Oh well, I intend to stay in one piece next year so I can make it to the start line. See ya there!

Well done Horrie, I reckon the up run is mentally tougher than the down, all those hills at the end and running by yourself would be much more difficult than running down the Pacific Hwy from Turramurra!

First thing I wanted to do when we got home from Nowra was to see hoe everyone had gone, sounds like a great day.

Congratulations Horrie, outstanding performance. You're in the ultra super-league with those distances under the belt.

Congratulations Horrie on the achievement of doing PMC. You truly have crossed to the dark side. First a 12hr track race and now a sub 12hr ultra road race.

You just keep getting better & better, Horrie! Must be the workout I gave you in Canberra...no matter what else you do, I'll never forget what you did for me that day..April 9th, 2006!

Congrats Horrie, or is it now "ultra Horrie". You should be very proud of your achievement. Belinda & Tim you are gold.

Well that was a nice little run on a Saturday wasn't it ? Extraordinary stuff Horrie !

well done Horrie, thoroughly deserved!

Horrie, you da man. Fatass has you now I bet. Great run and good to see Belinda and Tim out there supporting you too.

See you at 12FT?
