Midweek long run and introduction to Wild Wally

26/7/06

With the Cities Marathon on Sunday, I decided to keep the midweek long run at 14km. The aim was to run it at 5 min/km pace and this was achieved. Finished in a bit over 70 and a half minutes.

27/7/06

We had 7 laps of Wild Wally hill circuit today with a 2 minute jog recovery between each one. Although the recovery seems to be well spaced out for the quicker runners. I managed a 2 minute recovery once. He must have taken his eye of the watch for a while. I was very happy how I ran these reps today. As is the case with these sessions, they really start to hurt after the 3rd rep but then the pain doesn't seem to get any worse. Splits for the 7 reps were 2:47, 2:45, 2:44, 2:49, 2:50, 2:48 and 2:48.
