Airport Adventure STaR
6/8/06
After being tempted to head down to the Royal National Park for a long run with some Cool Runners, I decided to do the STaR instead. The fact that it is 15 minutes from home was added incentive. I decided to do a shorter option, going with the 26km version. I ran with the 6.10 group and the pace was very comfortable and after a pep talk from O Runner, the group stuck together throughout, which was a nice change. O Runner decided to join me on the shorter option as he had not run for 2 weeks since the Sutherland to Surf. This proved to be a wise move from him as his recent lack of running started to tell. He dug in deep and grounded out the last 7km, which will hold him good stead for future runs. Caught up briefly with a few before I headed off to attend to a rare family day.

Thanks mate for running back with me, even though we were getting slower and slower. It was a good thing you were just in front of me, the running form in the last couple of km was particularly ugly.
You are on fire at the moment with the Marathon PB and then a Lane Cove course PB as well, when you are supposed to be recovering!!!
Just goes to show what a regular training regime can do for you (mental note).

Gday Horrie,
Thanks for the nice comments on my blog. Are you running Willy 2 Billy?
Probably not enough time for me to do that one but i am thinking about Fitzroy Falls in 9 weeks.
May meet at C2S.
Cheers R2B
